READY TO KILL features Nathan and Harvey at their best! April 29th is right around the corner and preorders for RTK are available in the Kindle store. For more details following this announcement, stay tuned to AndrewPeterson.com for the latest on the Nathan McBride thriller series!
Bestselling author Andrew Peterson is back with a heart-stopping fourth installment of his wildly popular Nathan McBride series.
When a mysterious note referencing a top-secret US operation is tossed over the wall of the embassy in Nicaragua, Nathan McBride and his old pal Harv are called out of retirement by CIA Director Rebecca Cantrell and sent to Central America. Cantrell wants the situation resolved quickly and knows that Nathan is the man to do it; after all, he has a history with the place. The jungle he and Harv are about to land in is the same one that Nathan barely escaped with his life decades before, an ordeal that left him physically and psychologically scarred. To make it out alive a second time, Nathan will have to face down his own demons and square off with a ruthless killer who learned from the best, Nathan himself.
Glad to here we don’t have much longer to wait for the next Nathan McBride novel.
Thank you, Cathy! I sure hope you’ll enjoy Nate and Harv’s next adventure.
Can’t wait for the next Nathan McBride adventure.
If James Patterson can be so prolific why can’t Andrew?
No pressure, it’s worth the wait. The narratives are fun and exciting.
Keep writing!

Dr H: I’m writing as fast as I can! 🙂 Jim Patterson has help, I’m just a solo act!
Your post is quite flattering, thank you. I really want to keep a high quality to the narratives. Hang in there, READY TO KILL is right around the corner.
Thank you for your expeditious reply. I expected a secretary to answer it and am honored that an author of your quality took the time to personally answer my meager scribe.
I realize that the art of writing is re-writing and your work is of really high quality and takes time to perfect. I really appreciate what an excellent wordsmith you are. I thank you for providing me and many others a number of hours of pure pleasure reading your stories, I have read them all and can’t seem to get enough. I looked forward to each exciting chapter, as I look forward to your future tomes.
Thanks again.

Dr H:
Thank you again for the kind words. It’s my pleasure to respond to your post. I sincerely hope you stay in touch – it’s great hearing from you!
Looking forward to RTK! How long until there will be an Aubile audiobook version (unabridged)?
Hi Doug, thank you for the nice post. I’m not entirely sure, but I think the eBook, trade paper, and Audible.com editions all launch on the same day – April 29th. And yes, it will be unabridged!
I’ll check with Audible.com and update my post in here with a definite answer. Thank you again for contacting me.
I am very happy to see that we will soon have another Nathan McBride book. I read the first three on my Kindle and then re-read the paperbacks I was so lucky to receive. Do you have a book tour set up yet?
Bill, it’s great hearing from you! Thanks! My publisher is Thomas & Mercer – an Amazon Publishing imprint – so all of my books are exclusively sold on the Amazon.com and Audible.com websites. It’s unlikely I’ll have a book-signing tour anytime soon. I’m so pleased you enjoyed Nathan’s adventures! Thank you again for the post.
April 29th will not be getting here fast enough. I love this series. Please keep writing them.
Hi Amie, I’m writing as fast as I can! Thank you for the encouragement, it means a lot to me.
I’m working on book five!
I have been waiting for book #4 and will be your first customer! I have shared your books with all of my friends and they are hooked too. Thanks for making my library grow.
Hi Jan, thank you for the nice post, it’s great hearing from you!
Nate and Harv are in action again. I hope you enjoy Ready to Kill. Please let me know what you think of it. I value your input!
Cheers!
I just discovered Nathan, Harv, Holly and Stone a few days ago. I binge-read the first three books in four days and can’t get enough! Pre-ordered the next installment just now. Excellent, exciting, intelligent writing.
Mike, I wish I had more stories for you!
Thank you for preordering READY TO KILL. I think you’ve given me the highest compliment an author can get. You binge-read all three books in four days! Thank you again, what an awesome post!
Granted you can only do do much, but keep in mind, some of us older fans are on dancing the slippery slope. I’ve made up mu mind: No way am I gonna croak before your next book comes out..and the next and the next, ad infinitum. Keep ’em coming- Nate & Harv are good medicine.
Bev, hang in there. Nathan and Harv are back in action in READY TO KILL. April 29th isn’t far away!
You are NOT allowed to croak yet. Period. You will live on and read many more Nathan McBride adventures!
Seriously excited to know you are already writing book five while we are patiently (not so patiently) waiting for book four to be released. Your books are real heart stoppers and I love every page. Keep up the excellent work.
Thank you Aleta, that’s very kind of you to say. I’m thrilled you’re enjoying Nathan’s adventures. Writing the final scene in OPTION was difficult. Ouch! Nathan did what he had to do, but good grief, it was rough!
Thank you for the nice post 🙂
I hope that Ready to Kill will be available on Audible (nothing on their web site yet) and that the Dick Hill will be narrating. Any info on that.
Hi Hank, thank you for asking. Yes, to both questions. The audio version will launch on April 29th and Dick Hill is the man!
Thank you for your very prompt and personal response. Nathan McBride is an incredible character, on a par with Mitch Rapp and Jack Reacher, and Dick Hill gives him a fantastic voice in the Audible versions. My wife finished the entire three books in about a week, and I now look forward to my commute every day so I can listen to these great stories. Keep up your thrilling and beautiful writing.
I recently discovered you Nathan McBride series. Could not put them down and also read all three in 7 days. I have pre ordered the 4th and can’t wait for April 29th. Being a senior citizen I don’t usually wish away time but this next month will definately need to go by quickly. Thank you for the many hrs of good entertainment. God bless!
Jan, it’s heartwarming to know you’re enjoying the series. Thank you so much for the wonderful post, it means a lot to me! April 29th is right around the corner.
Blessings to you and your family.
Just checked in and was glad to see you have another book in the works. I am a big fan and have read all three of your books so far, I rate them A A+ A+
Hi Richard, thank you for the nice post. I really hope you enjoy READY TO KILL. Nate and Harv are back in action together! Cheers!
HUZZAH!!!! Oh, I’ve been waiting for this (gee, it seems longer than just last year that I finished the third book!)!!! I’ve already got it on pre-order on Amazon.
By the way, thanks again for the signed copies – but they are no longer pristine collectibles *grinz*
Can I wait until “Ready to Kill”s release???? I guess I’ll have to 😉
Hi Kat, thank you for the awesome post! At least the wait won’t be much longer. I wish I could write faster. Unfortunately, a product that takes me close to a year to create can be consumed in a few days 🙁 I’m hard at work on book 5 to stay ahead of the schedule. Please let me know what you think of READY TO KILL. It’s great hearing from you!
Keep em comin’ Andrew Peterson. They are all great reading and I can’t wait for book 5. Nate and Harv are friends of mine, thank you. Hot cup of tea, fire in the stove, comfortable couch, Andrew Peterson book, pretty close to heaven.
Carolyn, in my humble opinion, that’s the highest compliment you can give to an author – tell him his characters are like friends. I’m deeply honored by your post. Thank you for taking time to write, it means a lot to me. My publisher (Thomas & Mercer) is truly awesome. I really love working with everyone on the team, and yes (as you well know) it’s a team effort! A special thank you is owed to you!
I’m currently working on book five. 🙂
This is my forth Nathan McBride book starting with Forced to Kill back in 2011. I have rated all the books B or higher, which is a high standard few other writers have received.
The ending was well written, a page burner as they say in the trade, and the location was well described and I could visualize the village and location. But one comment, if they were snipers why not just stay up in the SP and pick them off? I guess it would not have been as exciting so this is just a small nit-pick. I will also post this on Amazon and hope more people find you as fans.
Hi Richard, thank you for the post, it’s kind of you to contact me. I’m glad to receive a passing grade! I strive to write the best books I can and hope people enjoy them.
Nathan and Harv prefer to stay mobile as much as possible – it just depends on the circumstances.
And thank you for the review on Amazon, I really appreciate it!
Your latest book isFantastic!!!
Andrew Anderson has done it again.
His books are a pleasure to read. They are exciting and enjoyable. And therefore a fast read.
It’s great spending time with You, Nathan and Harv.
Mr. Anderson-Please keep them coming!
Wow, I’m so flattered by your post! Thank you for taking a moment to write. I’m working hard on book five and it should be available around this time next year. I hope you’ll enjoy it as well!
Neil, thank you again for the wonderful post, it means a lot to me.
